Collections Officer / Credit Controller

About the role

The Collections Officer/ Credit Controller will manage the end‑to‑end credit assessment, onboarding and collection processes for corporate customers across the UAE market. The role involves on‑site visits, risk evaluation and close coordination with legal and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, review and verify legal documentation for new and renewing corporate accounts, including trade licences, MOA, passports, Emirates IDs, VAT certificates and bank statements.
• Conduct credit background checks, evaluate financial viability and determine credit limits and payment terms.
• Perform on‑site inspections of customer facilities to verify operational legitimacy before extending credit.
• Drive daily collection activities, visit customer premises to reconcile ledgers, resolve disputes and recover overdue payments.
• Monitor aged receivables, flag default risks and place hold orders on pending deliveries for non‑compliant accounts.
• Maintain aging analysis reports, present weekly collection progress and coordinate recovery procedures with legal consultants.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of UAE commercial documentation and regulations (DED licences, free‑zone vs mainland).
• Excellent negotiation and customer relationship skills with high attention to detail.
• Business English fluency; working proficiency in Arabic, Hindi or Urdu is an advantage.
