Facilities & Maintenance Senior Officer

About the role

An experienced and proactive Facilities & Maintenance Senior Officer is sought to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance and safety of company facilities. The role ensures facilities are kept to the highest standards, coordinates preventive maintenance, manages vendors, ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and supports facility improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of all facilities to keep them safe, clean and efficient, and develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections, coordinate repairs, renovations and refurbishments, and monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, generators and elevators.
• Supervise external contractors and service providers, obtain quotations, evaluate vendor performance and monitor service contracts, warranties and maintenance agreements.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, health and safety standards and environmental requirements, support emergency preparedness and maintain inspection and compliance records.
• Maintain asset and maintenance records, monitor inventory of maintenance materials and coordinate procurement.
• Assist in preparing annual maintenance budgets, monitor expenses, review invoices and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Prepare periodic reports on maintenance, vendor and facility performance, keep documentation and logs, and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance or property management.
• Professional certifications in Facilities Management, Health & Safety or Project Management are an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of building maintenance systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and building management systems (BMS).
• Understanding of local health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Vendor and contractor management, strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS or other facility management software.
