AGE Mechanic – Deployment Pool (RPA Mx)

About the role

The Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic will join the Deployment Pool, providing maintenance and support for ground support equipment and light support vehicles at various CONUS and OCONUS locations. The role requires flexibility to meet deployment schedules and ensures equipment readiness for aircraft maintenance and flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE and GSE, including fueling, lubricating, and servicing hydraulic, coolant, and air systems.
• Inspect, test, and operate equipment to verify serviceability and proper operation.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual, auditory, and test equipment methods.
• Interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical orders to execute repairs or modifications.
• Disassemble, clean, treat for corrosion, reassemble, and reinstall components and accessories.
• Stencil and mark equipment per technical publications.
• Manage hazardous material handling, storage, labeling, and disposal in compliance with regulations.
• Operate, clean, inspect, and service tow vehicles; position equipment to support aircraft maintenance.
• Maintain accurate equipment and vehicle records; schedule preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs).

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent military/vocational technical training.
• Ability to work flexible deployment schedules and adapt to various locations.
