Audit Work Experience Internship – Assurance

About the role

Join EY Kuwait’s Assurance service line as an Audit Work Experience Intern. You will support external audit engagements, gain hands‑on exposure to financial statement reviews, and develop a solid foundation in audit methodology while working alongside experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of external audit engagements, reviewing financial statements for fairness and compliance.
• Perform audit procedures such as testing transactions, analysing supporting documentation, and evaluating internal controls.
• Document findings, identify risks, and gather audit evidence under the guidance of senior team members.
• Collaborate with diverse audit teams to deliver high‑quality services across various industries.
• Apply EY’s Global Audit Methodology and leverage advanced audit tools.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (within 18 months) with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong, growth‑oriented mindset with curiosity and purpose‑driven attitude.
• Inclusive mindset that values diverse perspectives.
• Only nationals of Kuwait will be considered.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of Auditing principles.
• Knowledge of Accounting standards and Financial Reporting Standards.
• Ability to analyse financial accounting processes such as financial statement close, strategic planning, and budgeting.
