Aviation Support Equipment Mechanic III – KC-130J Program

About the role

The Common Support Equipment (CSE) Technician provides diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services for aviation support equipment supporting the KC-130J program. The role ensures equipment reliability, safety, and readiness for deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and correct malfunctions on mechanical and electronic CSE using multi‑meters, oscilloscopes, and technical manuals.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including fluid servicing, corrosion treatment, and hazardous material handling.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, re‑assemble, and install CSE components and accessories.
• Document maintenance actions and trends in automated maintenance data systems.
• Prepare equipment for preservation and mobility deployment.
• Operate, clean, inspect, and service towing vehicles such as Bobtail trucks, tow tractors, and U‑30 aircraft tow vehicles.
• Maintain tool control, foreign object damage (FOD) prevention, and safety standards at all times.

Required profile

• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Common Support Equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical publications.
• Familiarity with hazardous material handling and disposal procedures.
• Commitment to safety, tool control, and FOD prevention.
