AVP Operations Business Support – Kuwait Branch

About the role

The Assistant Vice President, Operations – Business Support, will support the Country Head, Head of Business Support and Group Head of Operations in overseeing the end‑to‑end operational performance of the Kuwait branch. The role ensures robust governance, efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance and a strong internal‑control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operational activities to guarantee accuracy, service quality and compliance.
• Maintain an operational structure that supports business growth, optimises cost efficiency and minimises risk.
• Implement operational risk‑management and control frameworks in line with Group policies and Central Bank of Kuwait regulations.
• Support the development and execution of operational strategies and team objectives aligned with the wider business plan.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and drive enhancements to strengthen service delivery, customer experience and productivity.
• Ensure full adherence to risk‑management guidelines, audit requirements and internal‑control standards across operations.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including the Central Bank of Kuwait, for reporting, system and control requirements.
• Monitor productivity metrics and operational KPIs, recommending optimal staffing models and resource allocation.
• Oversee branch‑operations compliance with approved procedures, turnaround standards and quality benchmarks.
• Work with Branch Management and the Training Department to address skill gaps and deliver relevant operational training.
