Buildings Paints Shop Supervisor

About the role

Al-Tuhoo General Trading & Contracting Co., a long-established Kuwaiti company active in construction materials, is hiring a Buildings Paints Shop Supervisor. This is a full-time, on-site position in Shuwaikh, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the paints and coatings shop.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise shop staff, organize work schedules and ensure painting, insulation and coating jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to quality standards.
• Coordinate the receipt, storage and issuance of paints, coatings and related materials, monitor inventory levels and ensure proper handling and documentation.
• Inspect work, enforce adherence to technical specifications and safety procedures, resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement of shop processes.
• Collaborate with sales, logistics and project teams to meet customer requirements and project deadlines.

Required profile

• Strong supervisory skills, including team coordination, workload planning and performance monitoring.
• Solid technical knowledge of paints, coatings and related building materials, with the ability to guide correct application methods.
• Experience with insulation materials and systems used in building and construction environments.
• Proficiency in quality control practices, including inspection, documentation and adherence to standards for paints and coatings.
• Understanding of shop safety procedures, material handling and basic environmental and health regulations.
• Previous experience in a paint shop, construction materials facility or building finishes environment is highly beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical data sheets, product specifications and work orders.
• Good communication and organizational skills, and basic computer literacy for inventory tracking, reporting and email.
• Relevant vocational or technical training in construction, building materials or industrial coatings is an advantage.
