C-17 Lead Coordinator

About the role

Boeing is seeking a C-17 Lead Coordinator to support Boeing Global Services at Al Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait. The role is part of the on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) aircraft. It covers organizational-level maintenance such as flight-line tasks, inspections, fault diagnosis, component replacement and structural repair, and involves overseeing maintenance plans, schedules, quality metrics and resource planning.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) shift leader, coordinating all aircraft organizational maintenance in a fast-paced flight-line environment and during recurring Home Station Checks.
• Direct, train and mentor multi-level mechanics and technicians on daily aircraft launch, recovery, pre/post-flight and servicing tasks.
• Maintain communication between touch labor, Field Operations, Boeing support functions and KAF flight crews.
• Work with Logistics Data Management to develop maintenance plans, prioritize, schedule and report aircraft status and unscheduled maintenance.
• Evaluate quality standards before authorizing exceptional aircraft release, and liaise with customers as subject matter expert on aircraft condition and operational capability.
• Perform root cause analysis, develop corrective actions and track quality metrics and organizational health.
• Manage and update CLS processes and procedures, and take part in organizational planning.

Required profile

• 10+ years of C-17 maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required, with an interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start.
• English is the primary language on the base; reading, comprehension and speaking are necessary.
• Willingness to relocate; employer sponsors employment visa status and the position is not contingent on program award.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of Air Force procedures, technical orders and maintenance information systems (e.g. G081).
• Wide-ranging knowledge of the C-17 Globemaster III and its subsystems and technical network.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations.
• Experience managing C-17 flight-line maintenance in an Air Force environment and supporting GISP and FMS in a multi-national setting are highly desired.
