Chief Accountant – Logistics Company (Kuwait)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the finance function of our customs clearance and logistics business in Kuwait. The role involves overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and present financial statements and management reports.
• Manage budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team.
• Collaborate with other departments to support seamless financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience, with proven leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in logistics, customs clearance, transportation or freight forwarding is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting and ERP systems.
• Fluent in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
• Currently residing in Kuwait and available for immediate joining.
