Consultant Reservoir Engineer (Reservoir Development)

About the role

Anton, a global integrated oil and gas value-added management services company headquartered in Dubai, is hiring a Consultant Reservoir Engineer for its On-sync Energy Management Services Company in Kuwait. The role covers reservoir evaluation, characterization, development strategy, simulation and modelling, and economic and risk assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on reservoir evaluation, characterization and development strategies, and evaluate alternative Field Development Plan (FDP) scenarios.
• Design, plan and manage reservoir simulation and modelling studies, build and maintain dynamic models and run history matching with production and pressure data.
• Develop production forecasts (rate, cumulative, EUR) using simulation, decline-curve and analytical methods.
• Monitor pressure, production trends, well performance and recovery efficiency, and recommend production optimization and data acquisition programs (well testing, PVT, reservoir surveillance).
• Perform economic evaluations (NPV, IRR, breakeven) and risk and uncertainty assessments.
• Integrate well logs, core data, petrophysics, pressure and production history into studies and models.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, testing methods, digital tools and machine learning applications.
• Prepare reservoir study reports, simulation results, development recommendations and reserves reports in line with PRMS and SEC guidelines.
• Lead multidisciplinary reservoir studies, coordinate with E&P companies, technology providers and research institutions, and mentor reservoir engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Reservoir Engineering or a related discipline; Master's or PhD preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of international upstream oil and gas experience, with substantial reservoir engineering and E&P experience.
• Experience with production performance analysis, pressure monitoring, well performance evaluation and recovery optimization.
• Strong knowledge of economic evaluation and risk analysis; experience with PRMS and SEC reporting preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams and work with E&P companies, technology providers and research institutions; international experience preferred, Middle East experience an advantage.
