Consultant - Surface Facility Production Assurance

About the role

Anton, an integrated oil and gas value-added services company headquartered in Dubai, is hiring a Consultant for its On-sync Energy Management Services Company in Kuwait. The role focuses on optimizing surface production facilities, improving flow assurance and increasing hydrocarbon throughput.

Key responsibilities

• Balance well deliverability with surface processing capacity and constraints, and remove surface bottlenecks to raise throughput and reduce backpressure.
• Develop, maintain and analyse integrated surface network models covering fluid flow, pressure drops and thermal behaviour.
• Support facility modifications, equipment sizing and debottlenecking projects, including changes in water cut and gas-to-oil ratio.
• Design, audit and optimise chemical injection programmes for scale, corrosion, asphaltene, hydrate, emulsion and biological control.
• Diagnose and resolve flow assurance issues such as emulsions, foaming, scaling, wax deposition and other production restrictions.
• Manage chemical service providers, set performance and cost KPIs, and oversee laboratory fluid analysis (PVT, water chemistry, crude characterization).
• Monitor and mitigate internal corrosion and erosion risks, and use production surveillance and real-time data to improve efficiency and asset uptime.
• Provide technical assessments and support multidisciplinary teams on production optimization, flow assurance and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a closely related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
• At least 15 years of direct upstream Oil & Gas experience, with strong background in surface facilities, production operations, flow assurance and facility engineering.
• Proven experience in chemical injection optimization and auditing, water analysis, crude assessment and pinch-point analysis.
• Strong data analytics and production surveillance skills, and a solid understanding of gathering networks, separation, gas compression, water handling, chemical treatment and asset integrity.

Required skills

• Advanced hands-on use of process and network modelling software such as HYSYS, PIPESIM, GAP or OLGA.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
