Design Cum Estimation Engineer (Instrumentation)

About the role

The Design Cum Estimation Engineer will work on instrumentation projects for oil & gas facilities in Kuwait. The role combines detailed design, material estimation and cost analysis for field instruments, control systems, cabling and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Study, design and prepare estimates for instrumentation, control, telecom and CCTV systems.
• Perform preliminary and detailed review of technical specifications, scope of supply, datasheets, SLDs, PFDs and plot plans.
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as datasheets, material take‑offs (MTO), specifications and equipment lists.
• Issue enquiries to approved vendors, evaluate technical and commercial offers, and ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for the instrumentation portion of bid proposals.
• Prepare technical offers, including deviations, clarifications, scope of supply and equipment specifications.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation, ECE or related discipline.
• 2‑4 years of experience as a design engineer in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• Familiarity with instrumentation standards, control systems (DCS, ESD, F&G, ICSS) and related documentation.
