Design & Estimation Engineer – Instrumentation (Oil & Gas)

About the role

The company is seeking a Design Cum Estimation Engineer specialized in instrumentation for oil & gas projects in Kuwait. You will be responsible for designing, estimating and preparing technical documentation for a range of instrumentation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Study, design and prepare cost estimates for field instruments, control & telecom cabling, CCTV, DCS, ESD, F&G, ICSS, etc.
• Conduct preliminary and detailed studies of technical specifications, scope of supply, datasheets, SLDs, PFDs and plot plans.
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as datasheets, material take‑offs (MTOs) for instruments, cables, CCTV and control systems.
• Issue enquiries to approved vendors and evaluate technical and commercial offers.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for the instrumentation portion of bid proposals.
• Prepare technical offers including deviations, clarifications, scope of supply, equipment specifications and exclusions.

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech in Instrumentation/ECE (or related diploma).
• 2‑4 years of design engineering experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
• Hands‑on experience with instrumentation design, control systems and related documentation.
