English Language Instructor (Foundation Courses)

About the role

The Canadian College of Kuwait is seeking a qualified English Language Instructor to deliver foundation and general education English courses. You will join the Department of Foundation and English, teaching English Foundation 001 and 002 as well as elective courses, supporting students in their academic preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update course materials, including syllabi, presentations, and assignments in collaboration with fellow faculty.
• Deliver student‑centered lectures using the Moodle learning management system.
• Administer, grade, and provide feedback on formative and summative assessments.
• Maintain regular office hours and participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
• Contribute to curriculum development, reporting, and coordination of academic resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Applied Linguistics, English literature, TESOL, TEFL, Education, ESP, EFL).
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience at university or tertiary level.
• CELTA, TESOL or TEFL certification preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

• Proficiency with Moodle LMS.
