About the role
The Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the American University of Kuwait is seeking candidates for an open‑rank faculty position in Mathematics. The role involves teaching undergraduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to departmental service.
Key responsibilities
- Teach a variety of undergraduate courses in Mathematics and Statistics.
- Conduct scholarly research and publish findings.
- Provide service to the Department, College, and University through committees and other activities.
Required profile
- Hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from an American or American‑style university (or a master’s degree with a strong teaching record).
- Demonstrate excellence in teaching, effective communication, and the ability to motivate undergraduate students.
- Experience teaching in a liberal‑arts environment and a record of multidisciplinary research are highly desirable.
