Fit-Out Engineer

About the role

The Fit-Out Engineer at VERK is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Kuwait. You will oversee the technical and execution aspects of interior fit‑out projects, ensuring they meet design intent, quality standards, and client expectations. The role involves close collaboration with architects, designers, subcontractors, and procurement teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings to produce accurate technical documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, designers and subcontractors to align design details and resolve technical issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications, local codes and safety regulations.
• Support project scheduling, resource planning and progress tracking to keep projects on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with procurement on material selection and verify installation methods on site.
• Maintain safety standards and document quality control measures throughout the construction phase.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in fit‑out engineering, interior construction or civil engineering with experience on commercial and/or residential projects.
• Proven experience in site supervision, quality control and compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to coordinate project schedules, track progress and manage resources effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural or Interior Engineering; professional certifications are a plus.
• Previous experience on fit‑out projects in the Gulf region, particularly Kuwait, is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for drawing review and documentation.
• Experience using MS Project (or similar) for scheduling and resource planning.
• Strong MS Office skills for reporting and communication.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
