Full Professor / Associate / Assistant Professor of Accounting & Finance

About the role

The School of Business at the American International University in Kuwait (a private institution founded in 2019, offering undergraduate programmes in English) is looking for a full-time faculty member in Accounting and Finance at the rank of Full Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor, depending on qualifications and experience. The appointee will teach undergraduates, develop curricula, supervise projects and mentor students, and contribute to curriculum development, student support and institutional service.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Accounting and Finance.
• Develop innovative, technology-enhanced curricula using AI tools and interactive learning platforms.
• Update course content to align with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
• Supervise senior projects and provide academic advising, mentoring and student support.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Promote diversity, equity and inclusion within the academic community.

Required profile

• PhD in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Analytics or a related field.
• At least 5 years of university teaching experience, with demonstrated excellence in Accounting and/or Finance.
• Strong academic research and/or professional industry expertise in Accounting, Finance or a related business discipline.
• Strong English communication, advising, mentoring and student-engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively in diverse, multicultural academic environments.
• Relevant industry experience and professional engagement in Accounting and/or Finance is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in industry-standard financial and accounting technologies, such as Bloomberg and other relevant software.
• Preferred: ability to integrate diverse cultural and ethical perspectives into the curriculum and strong organisational skills.
