Full Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology

About the role

American International University (AIU), a private institution in Kuwait founded in 2019, is hiring a full-time faculty member in Educational Psychology within its School of Education. The position reports to the Dean of the School of Education and covers teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Psychology, research and scholarly work, and academic advising.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and deliver psychology instruction in didactic, laboratory and/or classroom settings.
• Develop and update course materials, assess student learning outcomes and give students timely feedback on their performance.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records such as attendance and grades.
• Collaborate with the department chair and colleagues to evaluate, revise and develop the curriculum.
• Proctor exams, take part in departmental meetings and committees, and hold office hours.
• Contribute to program development and accreditation, and take part in community outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Educational Psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Proven excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Psychology.
• A record of research, publications and professional achievements in relevant fields.

Preferred: exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, ability to integrate diverse cultural and ethical perspectives into the curriculum, and strong organisational skills and adaptability.
