Full-Time Biomedical Engineering Faculty (Teaching & Research)

About the role

The School of Engineering and Computing at American International University seeks a full‑time faculty member to teach and mentor undergraduate students in the Biomedical Engineering program. The role combines classroom instruction, student supervision, and active participation in research and curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate courses such as Biomedical Signals and Systems, Biomedical Instrumentation, and Medical Imaging.
• Supervise student projects, capstone research, and provide academic advising.
• Engage in scholarly research aligned with biomedical engineering and contribute to publications.
• Participate in curriculum design, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve on departmental, school, and university committees.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and student‑centered learning environment.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of university‑level teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and student success.
• Active research agenda with a record of publications is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong communication and instructional skills in English.
• Proficiency with instructional technology and learning management systems.
• Technical competence in biomedical instrumentation and medical imaging.
