Guest Services Executive - Front Office

About the role

Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel and Spa, a five-star beachfront resort in Kuwait with 316 rooms and suites, is looking for a Guest Services Executive to join its Front Office team. The role covers check-in and check-out, billing, guest assistance and room sales.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests on arrival, register them and issue room keys in the welcome booklet
• Collect payment on departure and close guest bills correctly
• Assist guests during their stay and sell rooms to walk-in guests at the highest possible rate
• Keep the Guest Services desk manned, prepared and stocked, and protect guest privacy
• Enter guest details on the Registration Card into the Opera system and file cards and dockets correctly
• Scan passports on arrival and enter data for the CID report; run routing instruction reports regularly
• Log issues and negative feedback to the supervisor, attend the daily handover briefing and open guest safe deposit boxes
• Check traces in Opera on arrival and departure, assist the CID Clerk and Guest Relations, and take advance payment guarantees per the resort's credit policy

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in the same role in a five-star hotel
• Front office customer service experience in a five-star environment
• Able to handle multiple tasks and communicate effectively with colleagues and management

Required skills

• Proficiency in spoken and written business English
• Operational knowledge of the Opera PMS
