Guest Services Executive - Front Office

About the role

Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel and Spa, a beachfront resort in Kuwait with 316 rooms and suites, seven restaurants, a spa and extensive conference facilities, is looking for a Guest Services Executive to join its Front Office team. The role covers check-in and check-out, billing, room sales and guest relations.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests on arrival, register them and issue room keys in the welcome booklet
• Take payment on departure and close guest bills correctly
• Assist guests during their stay and sell rooms to walk-in guests at the highest possible rate
• Keep the Guest Services desk manned, prepared and stocked, and protect guest privacy
• Enter guest details on the Registration Card into the Opera system and file cards and dockets properly
• Scan passports on arrival and enter data for the CID report; run routing instruction reports regularly
• Log and inform the supervisor of challenges, negative feedback or unusual matters, and attend the daily handover briefing
• Open safe deposit boxes and check traces in Opera on arrival and departure
• Assist the CID Clerk and Guest Relations with data entry and escorting guests to their rooms
• Take advance payment guarantees on check-in in line with the resort's credit policy

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in the same role in a five-star hotel
• Customer service experience in a five-star front office environment
• Able to handle multiple tasks and communicate effectively with colleagues and management

Required skills

• Proficiency in spoken and written Business English
• Front office operations and use of the Opera system
