HSE Officer

About the role

The HSE Officer will support the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of Health, Safety and Environmental standards across project sites, ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections, identify unsafe acts and conditions, and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Monitor work activities, verify control measures, and support risk assessments, JSA and toolbox talks.
• Investigate incidents, near‑misses and accidents, prepare reports with corrective actions and maintain HSE records, permits and documentation.
• Deliver safety inductions for new employees and subcontractors, and promote housekeeping and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate with site supervisors to improve safety awareness and report observations to the HSE Supervisor/Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of HSE experience in construction, industrial, oil & gas, power or infrastructure projects.
• Valid Kuwait residency and transferable visa.

Required skills

• NEBOSH IGC (preferred) and other HSE certifications such as IOSH or OSHA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
