IT Coordinator

About the role

The IT Coordinator will be the digital heartbeat of Mama Shelter Cape Town, ensuring that all technology runs smoothly for both staff and guests. You will support the hotel’s pre‑opening phase and ongoing operations, working closely with internal teams and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system issues for hotel colleagues.
• Set up, maintain and optimise hotel technology systems in line with Mama and Ennismore standards.
• Assist with pre‑opening IT tasks such as system installations, user access provisioning, hardware deployment and technology readiness.
• Offer guidance, training and timely solutions to all departments on IT tools and applications.
• Promote and enforce IT security standards, data protection practices and access controls.
• Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, manage inventory and ensure proper asset maintenance.
• Coordinate with external IT providers and vendors to resolve issues and ensure service delivery.
• Support core hospitality systems including PMS, POS, network platforms and business applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Previous experience in IT support, help‑desk or systems administration within a hospitality or similar environment.
