Lodging Clerk / Linen Specialist

About the role

The Lodging Clerk/Linen Specialist takes part in the Lodging/Linen Exchange, covering reservations, check-in and check-out, linen exchange, room and building inspections, inventory, restocking, safety checks, general maintenance and cleaning. The role is based at the Lodging Main Office and requires a DoD Secret clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide linen exchange services at the main office and use Government lodging software to check personnel into and out of rooms
• Maintain bed-down records and daily occupancy checks, keeping accurate rosters and lodging data with no more than four discrepancies per month
• Keep keys and door codes under control with no more than one discrepancy per quarter, and provide a central lodging processing point
• Handle about 285 linen sets per day, exchanging 325 people per hour for two hours, and collect linen from tents, rooms and DVQ rooms
• Perform DVQ services such as making beds, cleaning DVQ rooms and restocking refrigerators
• Escort repair technicians, manage work orders and supply items, and handle customer complaints professionally

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least two years of experience in DOD or comparable lodging
• Knowledge of CQMAPs software and ability to access workload data from the 386 LAN
• Valid U.S. passport (preferred), driver's license, and a residency visa for Kuwait
• Able to meet USCENTCOM deployment policy requirements and work in extreme heat and dust
• DoD Secret clearance, which must be maintained
