Lodging Manager

About the role

The Lodging Manager manages the lodging and linen exchange function, covering reservations, check-in and check-out, room and linen inventory, restocking, safety and general maintenance inspections, and cleaning. The position is based in Kuwait and requires a DoD Secret clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and run the linen exchange at the lodging office for personnel checking in and out, using government lodging software.
• Provide training to employees on the government software and manage bed-space assignments from customer transactions, first sergeant rosters and occupancy validation results.
• Maintain a bed-down database with name, rank, gender, branch, arrival/departure dates and room assignment, and carry out daily checks of vacant rooms.
• Keep 100% room and customer accountability, with no more than four discrepancies per month, and provide a 24/7 locator service.
• Manage the linen exchange with an average of 285 sets per day, able to handle 325 exchanges per hour for two hours; collect linen from tents, rooms and DVQ rooms and deliver it to the collection point.
• Perform DVQ services such as making beds, cleaning DVQ rooms and restocking refrigerators.
• Control keys and door codes so that there is at most one discrepancy per quarter, and provide at least one central lodging processing point.
• Accomplish other duties assigned by the Site Manager and resolve customer complaints professionally.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience supervising and managing DOD or comparable lodging.
• Experience in hospitality and services management and aseptic cleaning procedures.
• Valid U.S. passport (preferred), valid U.S. driver's license, and ability to obtain and maintain a residency visa for Kuwait.
• Able to meet USCENTCOM deployment policy requirements and to work in extreme heat, dust and long hours.
• Must hold and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
