Mail and Distribution Support Specialist

About the role

Trace Systems is recruiting a Mail and Distribution Support Specialist for its team in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The role provides official mail and distribution services for the organization, ensuring the secure, accurate and timely receipt, processing, distribution and dispatch of mail in line with Army Regulations, Department of Defense and United States Postal Service policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide official mail and distribution services in line with ARs, DOD and USPS manuals
• Receive, pick up and distribute all classes of incoming official mail and parcels at least once daily
• Maintain a daily updated brigade mail list of official mail and parcels
• Receive, pick up and sign for regular and accountable mail at the installation mail center and from private carriers
• Distribute intra-post correspondence and maintain an authorization roster for classified and accountable mail
• Research and re-direct misdirected personal mail and process undeliverable mail per regulations
• Dispatch outgoing regular, accountable and classified mail
• Maintain files of personnel appointed as unit mail clerks and designated signers for accountable mail
• Prepare and process forms, use word processing, spreadsheets, databases and electronic form fillers, and prepare military correspondence (AR 25-50)
• Use ARIMS and follow Privacy Act procedures for releasing personal information

Required profile

• Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance
• US citizenship required due to contract requirements
• At least two years of experience providing mail support to a US military base
• Ability to lift 70 lbs routinely
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional experience with US military mail support is highly desired
