Mandoub - Visa and Residency Administration

About the role

American International University (AIU), a private English-medium university in Kuwait founded in 2019, is hiring a Mandoub in Jahra. The role handles all paperwork and transactions needed for the university, including licenses, permits and PUC, as well as employee legal matters such as residencies, visas and civil IDs.

Key responsibilities

• Process all types of visas, including employment and residency visas, and track extensions, cancellations or transfers.
• Process, track and renew company-related permits, authorized signatory and licenses.
• Process and track work permits, government health insurance, medical tests and fingerprint registration, and civil ID issuance and cancellation.
• Follow up with stakeholders on PUC approvals and renewals for university staff.
• Coordinate with HR to register or cancel Kuwaiti employees with the Social Security.
• Stay updated on changes to laws, regulations, forms and formats and inform the HR department.
• Obtain quarterly sponsorship reports from the immigration/labor office, tally them and resubmit with supporting documents.
• Coordinate with HR on departure and exit formalities after visa cancellation.

Required profile

• Diploma plus at least 3 years of experience in an educational institute.
• Knowledge of labor office and Jawazat procedures and governmental regulations.
• Knowledge of administrative procedures and policies applied at the university.
• Knowledge of government procedures for issuing licenses and related documents.

• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.
• Attention to detail, flexibility with changing priorities and strong multi-tasking.
• Time management, confidentiality, problem solving and follow-up skills.
