Medical Affairs Professional – Cardiometabolic (Upper Gulf)

About the role

The Cardiometabolic Medical Affairs Professional (MAP) is a therapeutic‑aligned clinical scientist supporting Lilly’s cardiometabolic portfolio across the Upper Gulf, based in Kuwait. The MAP collaborates with brand teams, healthcare professionals and internal functions to ensure scientific excellence and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical, scientific and strategic input to the cardiometabolic brand team and support medical launch activities.
• Develop and review local and global promotional materials, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Gather and analyse customer insights from HCPs and stakeholders to shape medical and brand strategy.
• Plan and execute symposia, advisory boards, scientific exchanges and educational events.
• Support data analysis, slide set creation and publication development (abstracts, posters, manuscripts).

Required profile

• Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, MD, MSc or PhD) with 2‑3 years relevant experience.
• Experience in pharmaceutical medical/scientific roles, preferably in cardiometabolic therapeutic areas.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, project management and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate scientific data into clear, compliant customer communications.
• Understanding of Gulf healthcare environment and Ministry of Health requirements.

Required skills

• Clinical and scientific expertise in cardiometabolic diseases (type 2 diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular, renal, metabolic conditions).
• Knowledge of medical literature evaluation and scientific data disclosure processes.
