Petroleum Engineer Consultant - Well Testing & Completion

About the role

Anton, an integrated oil and gas value-added management services company headquartered in Dubai, is hiring a Consultant - Petroleum Engineer specializing in well testing and completion. The position is based in Kuwait within the On-sync Energy Management Services Company department and covers conventional and unconventional reservoirs.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on well testing, completion, stimulation, workover and production optimization for conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
• Plan and recommend completion, testing, stimulation, surveillance and data acquisition programs for exploration, appraisal, development and new discovery wells.
• Develop and review completion, testing, stimulation and workover programs for onshore and offshore operations, including HPHT wells.
• Analyze well test and production data and prepare well testing, completion and post-job reports.
• Support Long-Term Testing, early production, production monitoring, water injection, effluent disposal and artificial lift.
• Support coiled tubing operations such as well cleaning, lifting, fishing, well unloading, cement squeeze and water/gas shut-off.
• Supervise rigless interventions including PLT, TDT, perforation, acid stimulation, hydraulic fracturing, PTA and slickline operations.
• Interpret cased-hole logging data (PLT, CBL, corrosion logs) and apply nodal analysis and multiphase-flow principles to optimize production.
• Evaluate service company performance and technical deliverables, and review technical studies and reports.
• Train less experienced engineers and present technical recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline; Master's preferred.
• At least 21 years of international upstream oil and gas experience, with extensive well testing, completion, stimulation and production engineering.
• Experience with conventional and unconventional reservoirs and with HPHT wells.
• Experience evaluating service company performance and technical deliverables.
• Preferred: experience with major or independent E&P companies or research institutions, Middle East onshore and offshore experience, and technical or academic publications.
