QHSE Coordinator - Logistics

About the role

Mezzan Holding Co., a food, healthcare and consumer conglomerate with operations in Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Jordan, is looking for a QHSE Coordinator for its logistics and warehouse operations. The role covers QHSE and GDP policies, compliance, audits, incident investigation and environmental initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement QHSE and GDP policies, procedures and training across logistics and warehouse operations, and ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulations and food safety, hygiene and OHS requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments of warehouses, vehicles, storage and handling areas.
• Monitor temperature control, product handling, storage conditions and traceability systems for GDP compliance.
• Investigate incidents, carry out root cause analysis, manage CAPA and non-conformities.
• Maintain QHSE documentation, risk registers, calibration records, hygiene logs, training records and emergency response plans.
• Coordinate driver and contractor inductions, PPE compliance, toolbox talks and employee QHSE awareness training.
• Manage site certifications, permits and renewals, including FSSC, Civil Defense and Municipality approvals.
• Support internal, external, regulatory and customer audits and close audit findings on time.
• Drive environmental sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction, energy efficiency and pollution prevention.
• Monitor QHSE KPIs, prepare compliance reports and support management reviews and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management or a related technical field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in QHSE or logistics/warehouse operations within FMCG or food manufacturing.
• ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 awareness, OHS awareness, GDP training or certification, and HACCP level or equivalent.
• Good communication and reporting skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with digital inspection or reporting tools.
