Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer

About the role

The Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer will support KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions group on a 5‑year PMC contract with Kuwait Oil Company. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining robust project quality management systems to meet corporate, contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the Project Quality Management System.
• Manage verification, inspection and testing of project deliverables in line with criticality assessments.
• Lead quality support functions including quality planning, preventive actions, non‑conformance control, corrective actions, audits and reporting.
• Collaborate with HSE, QA/QC Manager and the Project Management Team to ensure compliance with the WorleyParsons Project Management Process (WPMP) and Enterprise Management System (EMS).
• Ensure project personnel receive appropriate quality‑related training.
• Oversee a team of quality practitioners and coordinate plant and vendor inspections for mechanical equipment on‑shore and off‑shore.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years on oil & gas projects and 3 years in a QA/QC engineering role.
• Strong understanding of quality management principles and improvement of management systems.
• Proven experience with plant and vendor inspections of mechanical equipment.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical standards and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience managing quality teams and planning quality resources.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000, ISO 14000 series and relevant international standards.
• Knowledge of NDE requirements and sour environments; eligible for auditor registration.
