Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will manage cost and contract elements across the project lifecycle, ensuring financial controls and commercial compliance are maintained from award to closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates and budget plans, monitor expenditures and advise on potential cost deviations.
• Perform precise quantity take‑offs from drawings, prepare measurement sheets and BOQs for procurement and contractor evaluation.
• Administer contracts, prepare notices, correspondence and commercial records throughout the project.
• Evaluate subcontractor claims, verify quantities and rates, and recommend payment approvals.
• Conduct site progress valuations, prepare monthly billings and support final account negotiations.
• Maintain organized cost documentation and generate periodic financial reports and cash‑flow projections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of project‑based quantity surveying experience, preferably in construction, oil & gas or engineering.
• Strong analytical abilities, numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective communication, teamwork and professional integrity.
