Rotating Equipment Instrument Technician

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is hiring a Rotating Equipment Instrument Technician in Kuwait, within its On Sync Energy Management Services Company. The role covers maintenance, inspection, testing and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems used on rotating equipment such as gas turbines, gas compressors and variable-speed motors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, test and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems, including microprocessor-based systems, engine management systems, gas turbines, gas compressors and variable-speed motors.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on control, protection, vibration monitoring and governing systems.
• Troubleshoot anti-surge control systems, burner management systems (BMS), engine management systems and associated safety interlocks.
• Diagnose instrument and control system faults and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate instrument repair, testing and maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance records and report equipment faults, incidents and completed activities to supervisors.

Required profile

• Qualification: either an ITI certificate in Instrumentation, Instrument & Control, Electronics or Electrical, or an ORD diploma in Instrumentation, Instrument & Control or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience maintaining instrumentation, control systems and related equipment in the Oil & Gas, refinery or petrochemical industry (ITI route).
• Or minimum 8 years of relevant maintenance experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory position (ORD route).
• Practical experience with rotating equipment control systems, gas turbines, gas compressors, vibration monitoring and protective systems is required.
