Senior Compressor Technician

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is hiring a Senior Compressor Technician in Kuwait, within its On Sync Energy Management Services Company. The role centres on maintaining, inspecting and troubleshooting process gas compressors, including medium-pressure and low-pressure units, and supporting their safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting of rotating equipment, especially process gas compressors (medium-pressure and low-pressure).
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and instrumentation issues in coordination with maintenance teams.
• Take part in HAZOP reviews for compressor systems, evaluate operational risks and help resolve HAZOP recommendations.
• Ensure compressor maintenance and operations comply with applicable international engineering standards and equipment codes.
• Carry out lifecycle cost analysis, risk assessments and value improvement studies to find cost-reduction and reliability opportunities.
• Provide technical support during projects and maintenance to improve compressor performance, safety and efficiency.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience in compressor maintenance and servicing in the oil and gas, refinery or petrochemical industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with process gas compressors, especially medium- and low-pressure systems.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and instrumentation-related compressor issues.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of rotating equipment, compressor maintenance practices and international standards and codes.
• Familiarity with HAZOP, risk assessment, lifecycle cost analysis and equipment reliability improvement.
