Service Desk Administrator – Camp Arifjan, Kuwait (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Service Desk Administrator provides front‑line customer service desk support at Camp Arifjan, responding to and resolving computer, printer, and network issues. The role requires quick decision‑making and detailed task management to ensure work orders are routed correctly.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary support for site Information Management Officers, assisting with daily computer, network, and software management.
• Provide immediate in‑person and telephone assistance, troubleshoot issues, and help users submit tickets via ServiceNow or email.
• Log and manage trouble tickets, determine appropriate routing, and assign unresolved tickets to the correct IT groups.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft OS issues, Microsoft Office 2007, and other authorized site software.
• Create and manage user accounts, email accounts, and network services using Microsoft Exchange Server, Server Manager, Print Queue Management, and Cisco VMPS.
• Track and document all service desk activities for accurate reporting.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Secret (or higher) clearance.
• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of service desk/help desk experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required passports, driver’s permits, and pass medical and police checks.
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows operating systems (Army Gold Master/Universal Gold Master).
• Microsoft Office 2007.
• Microsoft Exchange Server and User Manager for account creation.
• ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Cisco VMPS administration.
• Server Manager and Print Queue Management.
