Service Desk Administrator (IT Help Desk) – Active Secret Clearance

About the role

The Service Desk Administrator provides front‑line customer service desk support at Camp Arifjan, handling computer, printer and network issues via in‑person, phone, ServiceNow or email. The role requires quick decision‑making and detailed task management to ensure unresolved tickets are promptly assigned to the appropriate IT groups.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate, in‑person and telephone support, troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems, and assist users with ticket submission.
• Log, manage and route trouble tickets using ServiceNow, ensuring proper escalation to IT groups.
• Create and manage user accounts, email accounts, and print queues using Microsoft Exchange Server, User Manager and Print Queue Management.
• Maintain network services, including Server Manager and Cisco VMPS administration.
• Track and document all service desk activities for accurate reporting.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Secret (or higher) clearance.
• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of service desk/help desk experience.
• Valid U.S. passport, driver’s license and ability to obtain an International Driver’s Permit.
• Pass medical, dental, police clearance and CRC training for overseas deployment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows operating systems (Army Gold Master/Universal Gold Master).
• Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Exchange Server.
• ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Cisco VMPS administration.
• Server Manager and Print Queue Management.
