Sr. Buyer - Marketplace

About the role

The Senior Buyer will drive e‑commerce growth by onboarding and supporting small and medium‑sized businesses on the marketplace platform. You will own the end‑to‑end performance of assigned categories, develop strategic seller partnerships, and solve complex business problems that have high impact on revenue and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the business owner for assigned categories, understanding internal and external variables that affect performance.
• Forecast, monitor, and report on category metrics while leading projects and promotions to meet objectives.
• Analyze industry trends, seasonality, and competitor activity to identify profitability and selection expansion opportunities.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure marketing funds.
• Create business plans for new opportunities and execute launch projects, including merchandising and pricing strategies.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to meet tight deadlines.
• Conduct financial analysis to exceed revenue and profit targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, engineering, business, or management.
• 5+ years of senior‑level retail experience in consumer electronics, sports, hobbies, travel, home & garden, with a proven results record.
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, promotion, inventory management, and product development.
• Ability to own and manage a business P&L, strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Comfortable handling complex financial data and operating in both tactical and strategic modes.
• Excellent business acumen and communication skills; able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
