Vice President for Enrollment & Student Affairs

About the role

American International University (AIU), a private institution in Kuwait founded in 2019, is seeking a Vice President for Enrollment & Student Affairs. Reporting to the University President, the role provides executive leadership for the Enrollment & Student Affairs Division, which covers admissions, enrollment, registration, student affairs, engagement, student care, athletics and student well-being. It works closely with Academic Affairs and the schools to support an integrated student-success experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run a multi-year strategic enrollment plan aligned with the university's mission, RISE Strategy, academic portfolio, capacity and financial model, setting targets and KPIs for new, continuing, transfer, international and graduate students.
• Lead enrollment forecasting, scenario planning, market and competitor analysis, and oversee the recruitment funnel from enquiry to enrollment, including yield and conversion strategies.
• Provide executive leadership for Admissions & Student Recruitment, ensuring fair, transparent and compliant processes, and strengthen domestic and international recruitment through outreach, partnerships, events and digital channels.
• Oversee Registration & Systems Analytics, aligning registration demand with course availability and capacities, and strengthening data governance, reporting and the use of Banner/ERP, CRM and dashboards.
• Lead Student Affairs, including engagement, clubs, events, athletics, well-being, counselling and case management, and ensure fair, confidential student conduct processes.
• Drive retention, persistence and graduation strategies with Academic Affairs, Advising and Institutional Effectiveness, using data to identify at-risk students and coordinate Early Alert and case management.
