Visiting Biology & Biotechnology Faculty

About the role

American International University (AIU), a private institution in Kuwait founded in 2019, is looking for a Visiting Biology & Biotechnology Faculty member within its School of Arts and Sciences. The position is open to local candidates only. Visiting faculty teach courses in their discipline, help develop courses and contribute to the academic growth of students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach courses such as General Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, and specialized and applied biotechnology courses covering clinical science, tissue engineering and bioinformatics.
• Mentor and advise students academically.
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development.
• Contribute to the intellectual and cultural growth of the university's academic community.

Required profile

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology or a closely related field.
• University teaching experience in the subject matter.
• Industry experience in the teaching field.
• Proficiency in English and commitment to excellence in teaching.
