Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the restaurant team in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring smooth daily operations. This full‑time, onsite position reports to the Restaurant Manager and acts as a key point of contact for staff and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff to work as a cohesive team, ensuring optimal service and guest satisfaction.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, correcting any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the premises.
• Maintain storage areas using FIFO, keep them organized and clean.
• Conduct scheduled inventories, order supplies, and manage stock levels.
• Monitor dining room seating, service flow, safety, and guest wellbeing.
• Create and follow work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees.
• Uphold company policies, safety procedures, and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and provide courteous service, including assistance for individuals with disabilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant restaurant or food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
