Crane Operator

About the role

The Crane Operator will support LOGCAP operations in Kuwait, working under the MHE Supervisor to lift, move, position and support the Roads and Grounds Section. The role demands strict adherence to safety, quality standards and environmental directives while delivering reliable crane services.

Key responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes safely, respecting load limits, weather conditions and crane capacity.
• Perform daily preventative‑maintenance inspections and maintain vehicle logs in line with Kuwaiti and U.S. Government requirements.
• Inspect work sites before crane setup and ensure proper rigging, securing and positioning of loads.
• Control lifts and other equipment using standard operating procedures to protect personnel and property.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or any damage immediately to the supervisor.
• Mentor new‑hire personnel and address customer concerns professionally.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC) and a heavy‑duty driver’s license.
• U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s license (or ability to obtain).
• National Commission of Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) certification.
• Minimum 4 years experience operating mobile cranes; forklift experience is a plus.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to read road maps, traffic signs and regulations.
• Strong understanding of safety directives, rigging techniques and cargo‑securing methods.
