Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

The Instrumentation Engineer will be based on‑site in Kuwait City, working full‑time for Jassim Qabazard Engineering Consultants. The role focuses on the design, specification, installation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems across a variety of engineering projects, primarily in the oil and gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Select and configure field instruments and control hardware according to project specifications.
• Develop control philosophies and prepare detailed technical documentation.
• Perform site inspections, supervise commissioning, and ensure proper calibration of all instruments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and clients to integrate instrumentation with process control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 10‑15 years of experience in oil/gas construction or industrial engineering consulting.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, process control and electrical engineering principles.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills.
