Licensed Practical Nurse – Resource Team (PRN)

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Resource Team provides safe, therapeutic, and compassionate care to patients across Baptist Health facilities. Working on a PRN (as‑needed) basis, the LPN follows the nursing process and utilizes training provided by the organization to deliver high‑quality clinical services under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and document care accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, adhering to infection‑control standards.
• Respond promptly to patient needs during assigned shift (6:30 am – 7:00 pm).

Required profile

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing in the state of Arkansas.
• Healthcare CPR certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NALS) may be required for specific units.
• Ability to work flexible PRN schedules and adapt to varying patient volumes.
• Strong clinical competence and critical‑thinking skills under RN supervision.
