Professor (Full/Associate/Assistant) of Computer Science

About the role

The School of Engineering and Computing at the American International University in Jahra, Kuwait, seeks a full‑time faculty member in Computer Science at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The successful candidate will join a multicultural academic community, delivering undergraduate courses and contributing to curriculum development and research.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses such as Game Programming, Data Science and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Software Engineering.
• Integrate industry‑standard tools, AI techniques and project‑based learning into the classroom.
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate research projects, senior projects, software development initiatives and capstone activities.
• Develop, review and continuously improve curricula, laboratory facilities and learning outcomes for the Computer Science program.
• Participate in departmental service, student mentorship and collaborative research activities.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum five years of university‑level teaching experience with a record of excellence in Computer Science education.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain an active research agenda and to engage with emerging technologies.
