Accountant – Logistics & Supply Chain (Kuwait City)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Accountant position is based in the Kuwait City Metropolitan Area, supporting a growing logistics and supply‑chain company. The role focuses on managing daily financial transactions and providing accurate financial insights for logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts.
• Prepare and issue invoices, monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Support budget tracking, cash‑flow management and financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management.
• Assist internal and external audits and ensure compliance with local accounting standards.
• Collaborate with operations and management teams to improve financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proficiency in core accounting functions such as ledger management, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and credit control.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, basic tax concepts and standard accounting principles.
• Attention to detail, numerical aptitude and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Organizational and time‑management abilities to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA) are an advantage; logistics experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
