Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, and ensuring smooth store operations. This role also takes full responsibility for the store in the manager’s absence.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and fashion trends to minimise stock loss.
• Ensure retail staff are skilled in providing high‑level customer service to maximise sales.
• Assist in implementing operating procedures and uphold brand policies.
• Audit store administration regularly and resolve issues.
• Manage daily rosters, leave, and staff grievances.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards at all times.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to drive repeat sales.
• Provide feedback on employees and products to Store and Area Managers.
• Maintain store security and vigilance.
• Stay informed about the group’s brands for effective suggestive selling.
• Handle end‑to‑end store responsibilities when the Store Manager is absent.
• Be physically fit for extended standing and heavy lifting.

Required profile

• Fashionable, well‑groomed, and knowledgeable about current trends.
• Physically fit to stand for long periods and perform heavy lifting.
• Ability to manage staff schedules, address grievances, and ensure compliance with company policies.
