About the role
The Associate, L/C role supports the processing of letters of credit, guarantees, collections and related financial instruments. You will ensure accurate data entry, compliance with operational policies, and timely communication with customers and counterparties.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate and manage processing of LC, LG, collection and bill transactions in the system, generating instrument and arrival notifications.
- Process settlements of collections, bills and claims according to approved policies and credit delegation.
- Clear outstanding entries in Nostro accounts and close utilized LC/LG records to maintain organized data.
- Respond to customer queries, providing required information and ensuring closure of all related issues.
- Release documents to customers, acknowledge receipt, and follow up on discrepant documents.
- Prepare daily reports for follow‑up and ensure adherence to line‑manager directives.
- Follow corporate governance, risk management, and AML compliance procedures.
Required profile
- Ability to process LC, LG, collection and bill transactions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail for data entry and document management.
- Good understanding of settlement procedures and credit delegation.
- Customer‑focused mindset with effective communication skills.
- Commitment to follow operational, risk and AML policies.
