Full Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology

About the role

American International University (AIU), a private institution in Kuwait founded in 2019, is hiring full-time faculty in the School of Education to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Psychology. The position reports to the Dean of the School of Education and involves teaching, research, advising and programme work.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver psychology instruction in didactic, laboratory and/or classroom settings.
• Develop and update course materials, assess student learning outcomes and give students regular, timely feedback.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records such as attendance and grades.
• Collaborate with the department chair and colleagues to evaluate, revise and develop the curriculum.
• Proctor exams, attend departmental meetings and take part in college taskforces and committees as needed.
• Maintain office hours and contribute to research, academic advising, programme development, accreditation and community outreach.

Required profile

• PhD in Educational Psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Proven excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate psychology courses.
• Record of research, publications and professional achievements.
• Preferred: exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, ability to integrate diverse cultural and ethical perspectives, commitment to an inclusive academic environment, strong organisational skills and adaptability.
