Material Control Engineer – Power Stations & Water Distillation

About the role

The Material Control Engineer will support the MEW Power Stations & Water Distillation project in Kuwait, working within the Project Management Department (Boiler & Piping). The role focuses on ensuring that all material requirements for piping and related works are accurately planned, sourced, and delivered on time to keep the project on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material requirements plans for piping and related equipment.
• Manage inventory levels, safety stock calculations and reorder point analysis.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Support production scheduling and capacity planning for project execution.
• Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) records and update as design changes occur.
• Monitor material consumption and report variances to project management.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Material Management or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in material control for power stations, water‑distillation or shipyard/piping projects.
• Proven experience working on large‑scale engineering projects in the Gulf region.
• Willingness to work onsite in Kuwait; candidates must be based in India.
