VP Investment Analytics & Performance Analysis

About the role

State Street is seeking a highly experienced investment analytics and performance measurement professional to act as a senior consultant and trusted advisor for a leading institutional investor. The role blends technical leadership, strategic advisory, stakeholder management, and transformation delivery across performance measurement, risk analytics, reporting, data governance, and investment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advisory to senior management on performance measurement, risk analytics, reporting, governance, and industry best practices.
• Lead technical delivery across performance measurement, attribution, benchmarking, and investment analytics, ensuring data integrity and final quality control of reports.
• Oversee data governance, quality, and integrity for performance and risk reporting, and drive improvements in controls, automation, and documentation.
• Design and implement current and future state operating models, workflows, and governance frameworks for investment reporting and analytics platforms.
• Manage service provider relationships, monitor delivery performance, and resolve issues with custodians, analytics vendors, and technology partners.
• Build and maintain effective relationships across investment, risk, operations, technology, finance, and executive functions, communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of institutional investment operating models and experience with enterprise investment platform implementations.
• Strong knowledge of investment data management, data governance frameworks, and both public and private market asset classes.
• Proven ability to prepare executive‑level performance reporting and commentary, and to influence strategic direction without direct line‑management authority.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments involving investment teams, service providers, consultants, and technology partners.
